Him By Her Collegiate School of the Arts welcomes Sondra Towne-Brender as our School Leader. She has over 30+years of experience in the educational arena, including rural, public and charter schools.
Mrs. Towne-Brender's experiences include Teacher, Curriculum Facilitator, Principal, and Director of Alternative Programs.

She has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from IUPUI.

She not only brings the experience needed to lead a school, but she has the passion and dedication to see all students succeed.

Sondra Towne-Brender, Principal


As a native of Greenwood, MS, alumni of Greenwood High School, The Mississippi University for Women with a B.S. and M. S. in Public Health Education and Marian University with a MAT in Education (K-12) and Special education- Mild Interventions, Ashley brought her talents to Indianapolis, IN with one goal in mind- "Every child can succeed”.
Ashley has worked for the past 8 years in education and brings a unique set of skills to the role of Vice Principal, as she was previously a Director of Special Education and Network lead for English/Language Arts Instruction.

She enjoys observing and coaching teachers with helping to name best teaching practices for classroom engagement and participation.
(In her spare time, you will see her hanging out with her two children, Michael and Malia either shopping or at a sporting event).
